Enrollment and Workshop rates

Enrollment Schedule

Enrollment takes place in stages and may be completed online. Once eligible to enroll, you may enroll anytime up until the workshop begins, as long as space is available. Scholarships and workshop spaces are administered on a first-come, first-served basis. Workshops fill quickly, so we strongly recommend you enroll as soon as you are eligible.

Rates include tuition, meals (Thursday evening thru Sunday morning), and 3-nights lodging in a shared, double-occupancy room. Private rooms are available on a limited basis for an additional fee.

OFAI participants reserving a private room may bring a spouse/guest for an additional fee of $75, and/or a child for an additional fee of $50. Guests may not attend classes and no unattended children are allowed at Quartz Mountain.

 

*STUDIO FEE FOR VISUAL ARTS WORKSHOPS applies to all drawing, painting, fiber arts, photography, and printmaking courses as well as education visual arts courses. The fee covers the cost of equipment and most supplies used while in the workshop. Participants may need to bring some supplies specific to their chosen workshop.

**MEMBERS OF THESE ARTS ORGANIZATIONS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR THE 20% DISCOUNT: 108 Contemporary, Allied Arts CityCard members, Edmond Women’s Club, Fred Jones Junior Museum of Art, Gilcrease Museum, Goddard Center, Lachenmeyer Arts Center, Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art, Oklahoma Art League, Oklahoma Black Museum and Performing Arts Center, Oklahoma Community Theatre Association, Oklahoma Camera Club, Oklahoma City Museum of Art, Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition, Oklahoma Writers’ Federation, Philbrook, Ponca City Art Center, Price Tower Arts Center, National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum.

Payments

EDUCATORS RECEIVING SCHOLARSHIPS
The $30 non-refundable registration fee and the $30 studio fee (visual arts classes only) are due at registration. If the school plans to pay these fees, the applicant will be reimbursed upon receipt of the school payment.

ALL OTHER PARTICIPANTS
The $30 non-refundable registration fee, the $30 studio fee (visual arts classes only), and a $100 deposit are due at registration. The remaining balance is due no later than two weeks prior to the chosen OFAI workshop.

Terms of Registration

REFUNDS/CANCELLATIONS
If you are unable to attend a workshop for any reason, please notify the Oklahoma Arts Institute immediately so that your place may be filled by an applicant from the waiting list.

EDUCATORS RECEIVING SCHOLARSHIPS: if you do not notify us of your cancellation or cancel fewer than 72 hours before the start of your workshop without a doctor’s note or other evidence of an emergency, you will not be eligible for an OFAI scholarship in the future. Additionally, scholarship recipients who cancel after enrolling in a workshop two years in a row will not be eligible for a scholarship in the future.

ALL OTHER PARTICIPANTS: if you cancel more than 14 days before the first day of the workshop, your tuition, less the $30 registration fee, will be refunded. If cancellation notice is received after the 14 day deadline, and the workshop place cannot be filled, participants will forfeit the $100 deposit and the $30 registration fee. If you cancel within 72 hours of the beginning of your workshop, you will forfeit the entire cost of your workshop. In the instance that the Oklahoma Arts Institute is forced to cancel a class, the full deposit including the $30 registration fee will be refunded. The Oklahoma Arts Institute reserves the right to substitute faculty members. In all such cases, an attempt will be made to inform participants of a faculty change as time constraints will allow.

PHOTOGRAPHY/WRITTEN COMMENTS RELEASE
Participants agree and understand that, unless the Oklahoma Arts Institute is otherwise instructed in writing, registration constitutes a release for any photographs taken of participants at the Oklahoma Fall Arts Institute. Participants also understand that their written comments may be used for public relations for the program.

LIABILITY RELEASE
With online registration, participants hereby waive any and all claims for the participant and the participant’s heirs and personal representatives against the Oklahoma Arts Institute and any of their agents, servants or employees for injury, illness, or loss of personal property, by theft or otherwise, which may result from participation in such workshop.

The Oklahoma Arts Institute reserves the right to refuse registration at their sole discretion.
