June 13-28, 2020
held at the beautiful Quartz Mountain Arts & Conference Center in Southwestern Oklahoma
Participants are selected through a competitive audition process. Auditions are held throughout the state in January and February. ALL ACCEPTED STUDENTS AUTOMATICALLY RECEIVE A FULL SCHOLARSHIP TO THE PROGRAM.
Our different disciplines
Part of the magic of the Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute at Quartz Mountain is the synergy created by artists working together from eight different areas of the literary, visual, and performing arts. No other program in the nation offers a similar experience. Artists gain inspiration from each other, and cross-disciplinary collaborations often develop.
You can audition for up to four disciplines. If you are talented in more than one area, we strongly encourage you to apply for more than one discipline—it will increase your chances of being accepted to OSAI.
The Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute (OSAI) is an intensive 2-week residential school that provides professional training to artistically talented OKLAHOMA HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS, including graduating seniors, in the visual, literary, and performing arts. We offer training in the disciplines of acting, chorus, creative writing, dance, drawing and painting, film and video, orchestra, and photography. OSAI faculty artists include winners of the Pulitzer Prize and the Academy, Grammy, Emmy, and Tony Awards. You’ll join over 250 students from across the state as you study your chosen field and attend or participate in performances, gallery openings, film screenings, poetry readings, and more. Optional activities include nature hikes, karaoke night, a talent show, and a dance. You’ll make lifelong friends and study with amazing teachers for a summer experience you’ll never forget.
